Signature Capture - A Signature capture pad connects directly to your PC. Most ID software applications have a signature capture option or TWAIN capture,
which allows a person to sign after taking their photograph. Their digital signature is then stored with their record and can be printed on their
ID card. Some organizations like the fact of just having a signature on file at the same time they capture the picture, while others make the signing process a part of their acceptance to employment and practices.
Barcode Scanners - Most ID systems have the option of turning a data field into a barcode, this is done in the badge design of your software. It cant be read by the human eye, but a scanner can read the barcode. Once read, it's as if you manually typed in the information, saving you time and data entry errors! So if you have an access control, time & attendance or a visitor system, barcode scanner handles the job very efficiently. (PDF here All about Barcode Scanning)
