Choosing the right ID System

How will your ID's be used?  Will they be worn for visual security? Many organizations start to issue ID's for a more professional image, and to establish some sense of security and to enhance their image with the people they do business with. In the future you can start to consider how to use ID's for other purposes.


How many ID's do you need to issue? You probably have some idea of the number of cards you need to issue initially. Then consider how many people you need hire or may need a new card on a monthly basis.  Choose a system to match your volume. Some systems produce cards faster, and are ideal for daily badging, while other systems are considered entry level and designed for 10-20 badges monthly.  The software you choose depends also partly on your volume; the more cards you issue the more management features you want in a software to help you manage all your ID's.

Do you need anti-counterfeit security for your cards?  Typically only found with government agencies and alike, some companies also like to have some additional protection on their cards like Magicard's Holomark or a hologram on the surface, this helps prevent the data and picture from being tampered with.  Many of our softwares we sell contain tools already for you to add a "Ghosted" picture in the background and watermarks, which are good elements for your cards, and free! If you only have a few hundred people, then you probably don't require any extra features.
